If you would have asked me two months ago where I was going this summer, it would have been Mexico for a week.

God had different plans. He was slowly changing my heart towards something longer term, and i don't know how to explain the feeling, but i just knew. One of my good friends told me she was going on a trip through Adventures in Missions, so i decided to check out available trips. It was between Israel, and Kenya, Africa. I spent some time in prayer and talking with family and friends. I came to the conclusion that Israel had so much biblical history, so much i could learn from, I could not say no.

For the past couple of years I have been to Mexico for mission trips. While there, we focused on building homes for those in need, and running a VBS for the children. It was a good trip, but never really challenged me, or pushed me to change.

I decided i wanted this summer to be different, that i would put God in control, and see where He was going to lead me. Here i am now, signed up for a trip where I do not know anyone, and do not know what to expect, i am so pumped!!

I am in school at a local community college here in Maryland.

I work at a christian bookstore.

I help out with middle schoolers at my church-specifically sixth grade girls.

This is my life, repeat.

It is hard to get to know someone over the computer, and that is one of many reasons I cannot wait for this trip to begin! I am praying for all of the team members, and for the trip-just that we would let God work through us in every aspect. Also, that we could place all our anxieties on Him, and trust that we are all going on this trip for a reason.
