Growing up, missions and outreach has always been of great interest although as time passed, I realized I lacked the abilities and characteristics of leadership, confidence, initiative and what not, but that never stopped me. God has blessed me with such vast resources to build up those weaknesses such as: friends, supportive groups, the church community, pastors, counselors, books, workshops/seminars, financial ease, and this.... amazing trip to Israel! There were two major confirmations that spoke to me as I debated within myself if coming on this trip was MY will, or GOD'S will. First, was when I decided to read a random bible passage after prayer before retiring to sleep and the words "Israel the Chosen" leaped out at me- I knew instantly as I became flooded with these positive emotions! Second, was when a friend told me he was going to Georgia for the summer (which so happens to be the air fare I'm required to pay- how random is that?). I was so happy that everything worked out in the end, and am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I'm really looking forward to journeying through this experience with you all! Just imagine where God can take us! See you soon. <3
